   Hello Raphael,
   Tonight I am going to begin the Vodka method to lower the NO3 that are currently at 10 mg / l

   I wanted a certainty ... I will use 1ml syringe that is used for calcium and magnesium, 1 ml of vodka means that the liquid level reaches the mark of 1ml or the black plunger arrives at the notch 1ml?
   Just to avoid confusion and wrong doses.

   About .... my aquarium is 100x40x50 (180LT gross), doses that you advise me to start?

   For me the sign is given by the lower part of the black plunger ... the important thing is to still be consistent with themselves, rather than the absolute measure

   The first answers are easy ones, it is clear ... but you do not think that they have the nutrients to make a mess of yourself. Why, then I had several Acropora and SPS, and held ALWAYS ZERO nutrients, nitrate and phosphate NOT speak traceable. But clearly they were not even all the algae because I kept them low, eating all those who immettevo.
   And to give you an example, in my current aquarium I always at least 10 mg / l, I also had 50 in September, but for a number of factors algae are under control.
   What I would advise is (all together, not one thing or the other)
   - Team algae eaters, you have the Salarias, keep hermit crabs as 5-6
   - Attention to lighting, beautiful cold stimulates corals and less algae
   - Algae competitors yet somewhere, find a small space in the SUMP, if you do not have to buy a small plastic aquarium hang with inside eg chetomorpha which is easy to keep at bay (looks like a tangle of wires Plastic fine). Or at least you found a way to get ANYWHERE in the algae that grow in competition with those NOT WANT
   - Moving optimum internal

   When you're ALL right, arm yourself A LOT of patience and try to rip ALL the algae that you see, all. Do it in sessions of 15-20 minutes to not be tired too, but inserobilmente have to clean everything you can in one day. At this point the team will do its job with cleaning the debris and algae competitors yet take away those unwanted energy.

   5 or 6 hermit crabs, however, are expensive, I wanted to avoid fees, though ...

   The chetomorpha I have it for 2 weeks, woven into 10 cm square plastic netting garden, go where it wants to avoid hanging on the rear window.

   The algae grow only on rocks, I think I should arm myself with patience and the next change of water powerful scrape somehow.

   Another idea that I dance for the mind, is to try to take the Alganex bacteria which seem made on purpose for this type of problems, but first I want to document myself.

   What say you?

   ALGANEX bacteria? Never heard of them ... if you have some links that I giramelo document!
   Begin to put at least 3 hermit crabs. They cost ... but they are actually useful, which is why everyone always keep in the aquarium, these tanks or small-urchins, beautiful and very efficient, but if you have small coral cuttings and especially you throw them down like nothing.
