Clean the greenhouse, each year it is necessary

Piccola Serra Tropicale, ripulita dopo l'estate 2011 This summer has been tragic for the small greenhouse in the bedroom. :-(
Different plants have died, because of the hot water over sooner than expected, because the holidays have lasted a week, instead of programs!
In practice, carnivorous plants remained only Pinguicola, and even Orchids I am the only remaining pochine ... which is well beyond the summer heat was, strangely, the Anturium, who also shyly bloomed in July.
So I took advantage and cleaned and washed the whole Serretta, snapping a photo to witness the lowering of the level of my laziness. :-)

I must also say that, unlike the aquarium , this greenhouse is a bit 'too static for my taste: the plants grow, bloom occasionally, but not so interesting as an aquarium. It will be a matter of living space for plants, lighting, though a little 'I'm tired of this experience and I'm thinking about how to use this space "tropical" differently ... accept tips!

Kokedama, how to make at home?

kokedama These "things" Japanese green drive me crazy. :-)
Along with WabiKusa, these "pearls of musk" (Kokedama) are spectacular! Shame not to have a good shelf near a window in my little house. :-(
In practice the spheres are of a mix of Akadama and ground, compacted, in which is inserted a plant (or 2 or 3, but is more a minimalist!) Which is then covered with a layer of moss. Linked together (with green cotton or fishing line ... but it must then be cut off after a short time while the first dissolves in the moss) the palleta held wet and you're done. The arrangement, lying or suspended with various wires, is a matter of taste.
In the past I have tried without much conviction in a WabiKusa ... I must admit, however, with bad results, so as not to post anything on the subject. But definitely try again, just found a small space useful ... now I have finished the space even inside the mini-greenhouse in the bedroom !

But if you're curious to try as well, or just to see how the heck are these "balls of moss inside the plant", 2 movies leave absolutely explanatory on how to make a Kokedama (from the pictures!)

Update Serretta tropical, with phalenopsis in bloom

Growing small tropical greenhouse at home , with plants "from humid-hot", then orchids and carnivorous plants.
The size is always the same, has completed a year now and the plants are better and orchid phalenopsis was granted at flowering: flowers, however, only 3 have a guy who is content. :-)
He pulled off a branch of blossoms also "micro orchid", that picture just glimpsed at the bottom right. They look like a dozen, well hopefully! So it is a greenhouse for orchids, but they too are giving pleasant results: some blooms but above all with live roots in excellent condition.
