Aquarium and aquarium in my passion for plants, fish and aquatic world
After a month of hatching of Artemia, the Nothobranchius eggersi blue rose, now also accept brine shrimp peeled.
Although many Killi died along the path of growth and natural selection ( which began with eggs ), luckily I got to have a pair, ie a male and a female of these small colorful tropical fish in Africa.
As shown in the video with 2 Killifish side by side, the male has started to color and chase the female. We hope soon to see also the dives in the peat that I located in the jar, and you can start to collect some eggs.
Of the other 2 species I hatched , I have unfortunately only been No. 1 palmquisti and 1 guentheri. The palmquisti'll keep it together with 2 eggersi, while his friend Valerio guentheri'll give him that instead he managed to grow only 3 specimens of guentheri, in fact. We hope so too can have these 4 fish between males and females.
By the beginning of this year 2012 gift to my readers 2 beautiful video shot by Marcelo Krause in diving in Brazil: that this new year will be a great year of economic recovery for our country and throughout Europe, so they can our everyday concerns fade away and leave more space for our passion aquarium!
THE HATCHER
Arrive eggs purchased with his friend Valerio (who was also a member of CIR ), all had as "date of hatching" ... recommended on December 25 as the date was very uncomfortable for obvious reasons, I started a couple of days prior to hatching 2 species, for the first 8 hours after Notobranchius Palmquisti and the N. Eggersi, then unlock the N. Guentheri December 26.
Also because the eggs seen through the lens just seem ready to hatch.
In fact ... we have observed with a microscope, with photos and a nice video edited by Valerio, here it is
This container used: small, plastic, large enough to spread evenly, however, the peat with the eggs, hatch them in the hope of the best and then take the little ones with ease. The operation takes several hours, even days to say, so be sure to keep the bowl in a place where it will stay a couple of days without anyone touching it.
Transfer (at least oxygenated tank)
Transferred them to the aquarium that you see in the picture, where I inserted a "bowl of gauze" (the classic ones formed from a simple plastic casing, with around a sort of hair net from the finer mesh, however) and 2 glasses of Plastic 200-cc. with the permeable bottom (a piece of sock pulled and glued to the sides), attached to the edge of the aquarium, with 2 spare tubes to bring the 2 cups of water. In the box of gauze in fact, the water enters and leaves very well also from the sides, there is always short, and therefore the movement within the exchange of water.
In these basins created to take advantage of the temperature and chemical stability of an aquarium "great", I added a couple of stalks of Ceratophillum, a bit 'of java moss and 2-3 snails to act as scavengers. I killifish should remain 2 - 3 weeks, the time to see them grow up enough to move them in the aquarium for them.
The current situation is as follows:
This is what happens in nature in these magnificent animals
