Aquarium and aquarium in my passion for plants, fish and aquatic world
Jan 9
hello are ivano, I have an aquarium of 130 liters of water 110 lt.con effective as I anubias dwarf plants that proliferate and another plant from the bottom of which I do not know the name before I have to say that grew much more 'now especially that of the bottom no longer makes' many leaves as before and on the leaves of anubias formed small pellets are dark green algae I think we put the co2 tank with the facility of Aquili if I am correct, then saw the bill now takes me once every 5 or 6 day evening in the pads of CO2 added liquid fertilizer every 30 days with the recommended dosage of the dark! basically I like the dirt that I made when I first set up the aquarium had also Cabomba caroliniana but lasted just unraveled and floated for even if the aquarium was very flourishing at the beginning! now for algae have decreased in both daylight hours and the food of fish (I have them one day and one not) and I eliminated the oxygenator burning co2!! What do you think could go back to the plants beautiful bright or not?? and algae on the leaves? I am attaching a picture that I hope will help you understand my problem!! await your reply with any advice and compliments on the site and the pictures I'd like an aquarium!!!!! ps-I have the aquarium for almost 2 years and is the first I would like to maybe one day make it a more 'big maybe 300 liters but I prefer the first experience with this myself! ah forgot I did the tests: nitrate nitrite absent on 75 mg / l GH10 ° d ° d KH6 PH7 I have 2 28w neon juwel from a neutral pink and just put a T5 light 8 hours a day temperature of 25 ° and this will I said everything.
hello, see you soon, Ivano.

Hello Ivan, I'm sorry but I must ask you, as has happened with other readers, the title of the book or books you have in your home aquarium. Let's say the text to which you reported under construction , or maybe you bought later. Why do we try to better understand how you arrived at this situation.
It 's strange that you have a text where it is recommended to keep the nitrates so high ... or use together with the oxygenator plants and most of the CO2 ...
Meanwhile, you were good at writing up information, and water values, everything is easier, however, did not you write IF you change the water, how many gallons and how many days / weeks.
I will recommend this to just go to a good situation for plants and fish (and fortunately I see a few fish):
Let us know how work proceeds ... and especially the final results, in a couple of months for example!
UPDATE, Aquarium Ivano after a few days ... and half of the nitrate
These "things" Japanese green drive me crazy.
Along with WabiKusa, these "pearls of musk" (Kokedama) are spectacular! Shame not to have a good shelf near a window in my little house.
In practice the spheres are of a mix of Akadama and ground, compacted, in which is inserted a plant (or 2 or 3, but is more a minimalist!) Which is then covered with a layer of moss. Linked together (with green cotton or fishing line ... but it must then be cut off after a short time while the first dissolves in the moss) the palleta held wet and you're done. The arrangement, lying or suspended with various wires, is a matter of taste.
In the past I have tried without much conviction in a WabiKusa ... I must admit, however, with bad results, so as not to post anything on the subject. But definitely try again, just found a small space useful ... now I have finished the space even inside the mini-greenhouse in the bedroom !
But if you're curious to try as well, or just to see how the heck are these "balls of moss inside the plant", 2 movies leave absolutely explanatory on how to make a Kokedama (from the pictures!)
So am referring soaking and the ' construction of ' 180 liter aquarium in the living room : no point in banging your head after 10 months of testing of all types, including the fact PROTALON, addittivio chemicals to eradicate the algae.
In over 12 years of aquarium hobbyists of all types and I never use the Protalon or other "chemical wizardry" to defeat the algae of any kind. I always looked at the situation and with a couple of changes to the end I have always been right.
This time maybe I'm just tired, and I think that both signs must also surrender to the fact they do not understand, or rather that it is not worth continuing to "try to understand." Usually I do not do well, deepen, but after several tests some have crossed each other I have not found a remedy to the algae continued to thrive on the 2 rocks on the lawn and it has always been slow because of this (duration, intensity and quality of light, intensity current amount of fertilizer added to nitratri and phosphates, elimination of CO2, although the fund sifonamente with Fluorite).
I would also add that most likely will return home to have a little 'salt water ... in fact i had 2 small freshwater aquarium in the bathroom that carry very well, I would try something different for this 180 liters in the living room. I have not decided yet, but I'm documenting the DSB method, which I find natural and attractive.
