First of all, lacking the size of your aquarium, without which the answers 1 and 3 are impossible to give. You can safely leave Ancistrus and Otocinclus, for example, but also Corydoras if you ... But I would avoid to stay even more comfortable.

If the aquarium is very big, say from 180 liters up to be safe, then you could also take other small cichlids, dwarf cichlids like. The tank is 100 liters and includes:
4 scalar
1 discus
2 loaches
1 corydoras
1 ancistrus
Apart from playing, as you seem to training based on the amount!?
As for playback, my better half has no intention of depriving themselves of clowns ... so it gets hard ...

Anyway ... back to your aquarium:
you did not write the nitrates as they are ... let's say up to 30 mg / l there is really to worry, you'll see the edge of the algae. Instead, changes to lower them are fine, but I think in the aquarium you have a few fast-growing plants or little light to see them grow faster, pinch and then delete nutrients and nitrates from the tank.
You can still add some floating plants like duckweed less easy to control, especially if you have strong lighting.
